Construction Features

  • The lid is supported on the body 2 mm towards the inside:
  • IP66: Protection against ingressing water/dust, knife edge seal without gap for all housing sizes 

General Specifications

The standard empty housing and connection flanges of the EX line type series comprise of stainless steel pursuant to EN 10088. The housings and doors are produced of at least 1.25 mm thick stainless steel sheet 1.4301 or higher as canting and welding constructions depending on size and design.

In addition to the closures, the doors can be screwed with multifunction nuts that are welded on outside of the sealing area.

Bores and cut-outs can be applied to the door, rear wall, floor and the side walls. They serve to take up cable and line introductions only in the prescribed protection types. The flange plates are produced of at least 2.0 mm thick stainless steel sheet and screwed on tightly to the housing using EPDM form seals

Closure IP66

  • Welded-on multifunction nuts
  • Screw connection with recessed screws and conical insertion that are applied outside of the sealing space

Wall Attachment

  • The housing may be assembled by outside wall tabs that are protect against twisting. Alternatively, the retraction nuts in the housing can be used.

Marking

  • A marking sign of corrosion and heat-resilient material is attached self-adhesively to the device for marking.
  • The marking sign contains the data required in EN 60079-0:2006, section 29.

Housing solutions can be individually prefabricated and equipped according to your wishes:

An assembly plate can be screwed in inside the housing to attach installation parts.

If the housing is developed further with different attachment and installation parts for an electrical equipment (e.g. control), the overall device requires re-.approval

Flange seals:

a.) EPDM heat sealing frame 2 mm thick unilaterally self-adhesive, temperature resilience: (- 40°C to + 120°C)

b.) Silicone foam profile 3x15 unilaterally self-adhesive, temperature resilience: (- 55°C to + 140°C)

Lid seal:

  • Silicone foam profile 8 x 20 mm unilaterally self-adhesive for the housing door
    Temperature range: (-40°C to 120°C)
